IAN STRACHAN is a Bahamian novelist, playwright, filmmaker and poet. Born in Nassau in 1969, he has a BA from Morehouse College and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1996 he founded the Track Road Theatre Foundation and served as Chairman until March 2007. He has had his plays performed in the UK, the United States and the Caribbean. Strachan teaches English at The College of the Bahamas and has been a social, cultural and political commentator in The Bahamas since the early 1990s.
